Mr Will Holmes awarded fellowship position through BAPRAS/BAAPS

BAAPS/BAPRAS Aesthetic Fellowship

Mr Will Holmes, a senior Specialist Registrar in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, has been awarded one of only 4 ‘fellowship’ positions through BAPRAS/BAAPS (British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons/British Association of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgeons) and in association with the Scarfree Foundation.  These fellowships are designed to support post-CCT (Completion of Certificate of Training) Trainee Plastic Surgeons, wishing to learn skills in aesthetic medicine and surgery.

Will will work alongside Mr Riaz and his team for a period of 3 months, and will benefit from having extensive exposure to the full range of cosmetic surgery which Mr Riaz undertakes.  This will include spending time directly with patients during their time in the Out-patient Department, and pre and post-operatively, but always under the direct supervision of Mr Riaz.  He will also be involved in a scientific research programme or audit, which helps to advance cosmetic surgery in the future.

Will expects to start his fellowship within the next few weeks.

For information – the Scarfree Foundation is a UK charity dedicated to leading transformational research into scarring, and raises money to fund such research and development.  More information can be found about this very worthwhile organisation at www.scarfree.org.uk
