Mr Riaz presented to plastic surgeons in Northern Ireland his technique of ‘R’ Face and Neck lift on 1st of June and ran a workshop on his technique on 2nd of June 2019 in North West Independent Hospital. The meeting and workshop was kindly organised by Mr Abid Rashid.

This year OPSA recruited a UK faculty to travel to Pakistan to teach breast surgical skills. Penny McManus, Consultant Breast Surgeon in Hull, was joined by Richard Sutton from Bath, Brendan Smith from Reading and Steven Thrush from Worcester.

Aesthetic Surgery workshop and Training

Mr Riaz will be running second Aesthetic Surgery Workshop on 1-2 January 2019 in Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit, Nishtar Hospital, Multan, Pakistan.

Mr Riaz is planning to start Aesthetic Surgery Courses and Workshops in Islamabad, Pakistan to share his experience and techniques with trainees and colleagues.

Mr Riaz OPSA support - Gujrat

After finishing my full day list in Cleft Hospital, Gujrat, went to Lahore to join team of British Breast Surgeons who came to run Basic Skills Course in Oncoplastic Surgery in Lahore and Islamabad. They had dinner in Cocoos Restuarant, at its roof top in old city overlooking Iconic Badshahi Mosque. I was there to thank them for their time and visit to Pakistan. They have safely returned with the promise to come back for further courses. Special thanks to Miss Penelope McManus for getting the team together.

Thank you for the Fellowship Mr Riaz

Mr Will Holmes (who is soon to take up a position as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in the NHS) joined Mr Riaz for 3 months earlier this year, at the end of his formal plastic surgery training, when he was successful at securing the much sought-after 3-month BAAPS/BAPRAS aesthetic fellowship.
